Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) is proud to sponsor a special mental health summit
focusing on the treatment of trauma in the first responder community, including Fire, Police, EMT, and 911
Dispatch. Registration is free to all mental health practitioners. The summit will be led by Dr. Margaret
Gavian, licensed psychologist and founder of Blue Peak Consulting. Dr. Gavian has over 20 years of
experience working with first responders.

Blue Cross is working with Blue Peak Consulting to create a first responder resilience program that
addresses mental health at its source and enables better community support. The organizations also plan
to develop a database of trauma-specialized practitioners uniquely qualified to work with the first responder community. More information is available at bluecrossmn.com.
